((I have arrived. Here is my random example...))
The wind picked up, gusting over Wu camp's tents and sending them flapping about while the men- unarmed now, for a slight bit of peace had at last fallen upon them- bowed their heads against it. Stooped and quieted by the currents of wind, they picked themselves slowly up from where they sat about fires, ceased their murmured conversation, and trudged wearily off towards their tents. Their sighs were heavy in the air as they left.
Short, brown hair was whipped somewhat violently about a feminine face, the features pale and gripped with some sort of trouble. Sun Shang Xiang was kneeling on the ground before the writhing flap of her tent, having been surveying the men until the sudden gusts had driven them all away. A cross expression was fastened to her finely constructed face as she watched the men disperse, refusing to withdraw to her own tent. That day they were due to return to the Wu territory, but Sun Shang Xiang- for once- was not at all ready for it. In fact, she would be more than happy than to run away at that very moment, to take off and allow her legs to carry her away as quickly as possible. Used to being strong, the sensation of tears prickling at her eyes and threatening to flow down her cheeks confused her. In a moment she sniffled and folded her arms tightly across her chest as the wind picked up a bit.
“Mistress Sun Shang Xiang, perhaps you should get inside… a storm is brewing.” A general said, but the young woman merely waved her hand to dismiss him and shook her head firmly. After he left her, though somewhat reluctantly, she returned her attention to the matter at hand.
And that matter was marriage.
How dare they- my own family! She felt betrayed, sickened to the point of near swooning. And not only that, but she felt as though she was being completely and utterly used. Marry me off to a man I've never even met before... and just for a political advantage! Sun Shang Xiang was to be married, after all, to Liu Bei of Shu. She had heard of his strength, his nobility, and his awe-inspiring virtue... but she did not know him, and now her very own family was going to give her up to him. The few hopes she had once had were growing quite dim.
((Yeah, it's lame. But I'm out of writing ideas.))
